The Thailand box office has enjoyed a renaissance of sorts in recent years with the success of comedies and suspenseful horror films.  People are beginning to embrace the Thai film industry and beginning to take it seriously after years of being subjugated to ridicule and embarrassment for the poorly shot quality of their films and lack of budget.  With the recent success of the action adventure movie Mekong Action, the newly revived Thailand cinematic universe has burst onto the scene.  Other recent successes include the suspenseful Chinatown Exploration as well as a growing list of successful comedies have brought a sustained growth to the industry.  According to Ms. Li, there is an innate connection and attraction between the Chinese and Thailand marketplace.  Thailand is home to numerous outstanding actors and actresses that have greater appeal to the Asian and more specifically, Chinese marketplace than other countries.  It is with this mindset that has drove Ms. Li to seek a partnership with Thai TV Production Studio.

IMC Film has continued to grow and diversified their portfolio by establishing productions all over the globe.  They specialize in locating one of a kind geographical coordinates to shoot film productions and they are very excited to add the beautiful, picturesque and exotic land of Thailand to their embarrassment of riches.  Under this multi-year partnership, Thai TV Production Studio will be able to focus on their core specialties while taking advantage of IMC’s outreach and established channels overseas.  All in all this looks to be one of a growing number of multi-national partnerships that will help spread Thailand cinema’s influence and viewership to the world.  Jingai Li believes that this is the future of the industry and that cooperation is the best way for small to mid-sized firms to not only remain active but also help bring the creative force to greater quantity of audiences.
