UPDATE 1-SNC-Lavalin tops profit estimates, forecasts strong 2018 earnings

Feb 22 (Reuters) - Canadian construction and engineering group SNC-Lavalin on Thursday reported better-than-expected earnings for the final quarter of 2017, benefiting from its purchase of Britain's WS Atkins and helping it give a strong forecast for 2018.
