Valhalla Band & Color Guard Performed in Pearl Harbor Parade

Valhalla band and color guard.

Valhalla High School’s marching band and color guard performed in Hawaii for the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor to honor survivors of the attack on December 7, 1941.

During their week-long trip, Valhalla band director Carl Reed and almost 70 students had the opportunity to meet Pearl Harbor veterans and perform on the USS Missouri. They also toured the USS Arizona, the Polynesian Cultural Center, a macadamia nut farm, and the Dole pineapple factory.

The musicians performed American anthems, “Bravura” and a drum cadence. Valhalla was the only band from California to participate in the parade.
