Judge rules on 'poison pill' in First Citizens, KS Bancorp court battle

After more than a week of deliberations, the North Carolina Business Court has ruled in favor of Raleigh-based First Citizens BancShares’ efforts to suspend Smithfield-based KS Bancorp’s "poison pill" provision – at least while the litigation between the two banks continues.
