I will eat a carrot cake, but under protest. Vegetables do not belong in desserts. They just don't. You can dress it up and make it sweet, but when push comes to shove, you still are eating carrots. (I'm sure that if you add enough sugar to lima beans, you can make a cake out of this disgusting legume, too.)
