Vinton, VA - April 25, 2018 - Dr. Kathy Stewart, a Doctorate in Christian Education from Southwest Bible College, has written an encouraging book about the Bible named Hebrews: It's Not How You Start - It's How You Finish: A Study Guide to the Most Encouraging Book in the New Testament.
Talking about the same, Dr. Kathy Stewart mentioned, “I took the book of Hebrews as one of my religion courses while I was working on my Master's Degree at the Liberty University. This was when I got highly captivated by the subject.”
The book is a compilation of the Bible study which will undoubtedly come in handy for the believers from every stage of their spiritual walk. The book certainly helps the readers of all ages in enhancing their knowledge about God and his grace over us.
As per Dr. Stewart, the books bring a logical representation of Christ's superiority over the prophets, the angels, and Joshua. The author focuses on the superiority of Christ's priestly ministry. "He ministers in a better sanctuary, and He offered a better sacrifice for sin once for all which entitles Him to sit at God's right hand as Our Great High Priest. The believers are finally exhorted, with the help of five severe warnings, to persevere in the faith and not to lapse back into Judaism in the face of their sufferings," says Dr. Stewart.
She also preferred to quote the actual verse, “God, who in times past spoke to the prophets in various portions and various ways, has in these latter days spoken to us in His Son. (Hebrews 1:1)”
Dr. Stewart mentioned that she was inspired to write the book after she heard the preachers' sermons. She overcame two extreme cases of writer's block, but did manage to finish her work with utmost dedication. She hopes that the readers of her book will for sure acknowledge the fact that Jesus Christ is “better than anything.” “He now sits on the throne at God's right hand as our Great High Priest, we can make it!” says the author.
The book positively encourages active learning, where readers get to look up the scriptures and try identifying things from them and writing them down if required. The book is also honest with its notable areas of assumptions, and the author tries to keep it simple and light with a little dash of humor.
