Is your dog's bowl making your furry friend sick?

Introducing the HERO Bowl - just pre-launched on Indiegogo, it's a germ-busting antimicrobial pet bowl – giving you one less thing to worry about
LONDON, England - May 10, 2018 - PRLog -- Did you know that your dog's bowl has got more germs than most surfaces in your home? Even if you wash it every day, and that includes a hot wash in the dishwasher, 67% of salmonella germs and other nasties will stubbornly cling to an ordinary dog bowl.

Enter the antimicrobial HERO Bowl, just pre-launched on Indiegogo as a reward based crowdfunding campaign. It is made from some seriously clever proven* tech, that prevents the build-up of up to 99.9% of microbes, including bacteria, mould and fungi.

Early adopters will be able to get their hands on the only dog bowl you will ever need. Go to www.igg.me/herobowl There are some great secret perks for early birds who pre-order. The offer is limited so don't miss out.

Germs can fester and contaminate your pet's food and water, potentially harming anyone, human or animal that touches it, especially curious little people keen to stick their hands in the dog's food or water bowl.

The HERO bowl will protect you and your family from picking up germs and potentially harmful bacteria that can lead to diarrhea, vomiting and stomach upsets in dogs and humans – how reassuring.

The beauty of the innovative HERO Bowl is that its protective properties never wear out, and that includes its ability to stop the build up of stains and odours, even if it's cracked, chipped or chewed.  That's one less thing to worry when looking after your loved ones (including the four-legged ones) from the germs and viruses that lurk on surfaces on your home.

The HERO Bowl prevents cross contamination especially useful for families with young children and homes with more than one dog. It is ideal for communal use such as vet surgeries, cafes, pubs and restaurants, grooming salons, animal rescue centres.

The HERO Bowl has been created by the multi-award-winning pet care company HOWND in partnership with BioCote® - the market leading antimicrobial technology supplier. Available in a range of contemporary matt colours in two sizes the bowl is ergonomically designed with a non-slip base and is dishwasher safe.

Like with all HOWND products, the material used to make the bowl had to meet the company's strict ethical standards. It is made from polypropylene and is recyclable.

Jo Amit of HOWND says: "As a well-established company that makes a range of award winning hygiene pet care products for dogs, we wanted to create an environmentally friendly bowl to help people keep their families and furry friends happy, healthy and safe. We think the HERO bowl will change the pet bowl game forever".

About BioCote®

The BioCote® antimicrobial technology included throughout the material of the HERO bowl has been proven to perform in real life settings, not just in a laboratory, and has been proven effective against microbes that can negatively impact a product, the user and the environments the product is in.

The National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) found pet bowls to be the fourth most germ-filled place in the home.

*67% of pet bowls still have Salmonella bacteria even after dishwasher cleaning, because dishwashers don't get hot enough to kill that and several other types of bacteria.* Dishwasher reference

When Harry Met Hero

Inspired by a true story, When Harry Met Hero was made to promote the adoption of rescue dogs and raise awareness of the #AdoptDontShop campaign against puppy farming. Words sometimes fall short of describing the connection we have with rescue dogs, but Harry and Hero represent this idea perfectly on-screen. To demonstrate our support for rescue dog adoption, we pledge to donate 50p from every online sale to the charity All Dogs Matter.

The Harry Met Hero video went viral and has now been seen over 10m times on Facebook and has helped raised awareness and funds for the causes we are passionate about.
