Smartphone-controlled, color-changing fabric is coming to your clothes and furniture

A team of researchers at The University of Central Florida developed the first color-changing fabric that can be controlled with a smartphone. The fabric is embedded with metal micro-wires that carry an electric current through the threads, causing pigments in the threads to change color in response to the push of a button.
