Report: Tesla wasted $150M on scrap materials making cars this year

Earlier, a misprogrammed robot at the Gigafactory damaged more than 1,000 batteries — some of which were fixed and put back on the manufacturing line, according to the report. Tesla also disputed the number, and said each of the damaged batteries were tested before being put into cars.
