Pharmacist turned cartoonist surprised by prestigious honor from Royal Society of Arts
ROSEBURG, Ore. - June 10, 2018 - PRLog -- Dr.Brady McNulty, a cartoonist and pharmacist, has been named a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (FRSA). Fellowship in the RSA is considered an honor. The RSA, based in London, was founded in 1754, and has a wealth of notable achievements and Fellows in its 250-year history. It is an enlightenment organization committed to finding innovative practical solutions to today's social challenges.
Through its ideas, research and Fellowship, the RSA seeks to understand and enhance human capability to close the gap between today's reality and people's hopes for a better world. Fellows include scientists, philosophers and environmentalists; leaders in the commercial, voluntary and public sectors; designers and architects; social entrepreneurs; innovative practitioners of literature, film, dance, and the visual arts; opinion formers and journalists.
In addition to working full time, volunteering, and helping to raise a family, Brady publishes thought-provoking cartoons each month online and in small newspapers and magazines around the country. The goal of these cartoons, in his opinion, is to provide the viewer with a message that cannot otherwise be conveyed by words. Each person takes away a different meaning when they view an editorial image, hopefully inspired to think more about a subject and further refine their opinion.
Brady commented, "I'm very honored to be named a Fellow. I don't feel deserving, but I hope to learn from my peers so that I may always grow, while encouraging others to do the same."
Whiteoxen Press LLC is the publisher for Brady McNulty's occasional comics, political and editorial cartoons, and recurring online comic The Dose.
