UC-Berkeley converting 'People's Park,' haven for homeless and drug users, to student housing

With Berkeley’s demographics changing and more young families moving in, both the city and the school – which owns the land the park is on – have become increasingly concerned by the reports of crime and drug use in and around People’s Park.
