NC House approves possible funds for I-77 contract

An amendment passed by state lawmakers could make transportation department credit balances available to buy out or change a private contractor's control over toll lanes in north Mecklenburg. It depends on a credit balance being available — and could put a portion of the region's highway construction and maintenance funding at risk.
