Average pay for 50 local occupations is less than $30,000 per year

A total of 23,490 workers in Erie and Niagara counties are employed in the region's highest-paying jobs. But a group that is almost seven times larger — 161,520 local workers — encompasses employees in the 50 occupations whose local average annual pay is below $30,000.
