Musician, Author, and Poet's Personal Writing Discovered in Detroit Loft
NEW YORK - Aug. 9, 2018 - PRLog -- The Detroit loft where musician, author, and poet Abe Sulfaro lived contained many of his personal effects. He adopted the city of Detroit and its Gothic subculture. It was in Detroit that he was inspired to prolifically write and perform.

Following his death in 2014, his family discovered myriad creative works in notebooks, composition tablets, and scraps of paper. Scattered among them was his first novel, The Antiheroes. Collectively, this treasure trove revealed the complex layers of Sulfaro's playful and dark musings…weaving a tapestry of an artist's life, his passions, and his ruminations.

Memoirs de Nocturne is the posthumous compilation of Abe's poetry, prose, and song lyrics including excerpts from his novel,  The Antiheroes, plus quotes and beloved memories from friends and family. Published by Wordeee (www.wordeee.com), Memoirs de Nocturne is a must-read book in the genre of John Lennon, Leonard Cohen, and Jack Kerouac.

Abe Sulfaro (1970-2014), musician, author, and poet, was born and raised in Monroe, Michigan. He was the son of Michael Sulfaro, a Ford Motor auto worker, and Sally Simmons Sulfaro, a nurse at Mercy Memorial Hospital. His parents have resided in Oscoda County (Fairview), Michigan, since 2001.

Abe died of pancreatic cancer in Monroe, MI where Violet Fire, a public charity that provides resources for persons with cancer and chronic conditions, was established in his memory.

Upcoming readings and book signings will be given by Sally Sulfaro and special guests from Abe's professional and personal life, including August 11, 2018 from  2:00pm-4:00 pm at the Book Nook, 42 S. Monroe St, Monroe, MI and September 1, 2018 from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Oscoda County Library, 430 8th Street, Mio, MI.

Additional book signings and readings will be held in Detroit, across the country, and in Italy, a second home for the Sulfaro family.
