These cities are finishing strong as Amazon narrows down choice for new headquarters

While it is impossible to get into the heads of the planners at Amazon, especially Chairman and CEO Jeff Bezos, a new CNBC analysis of the retailer's 20 finalist locations for its HQ2 project reveals the retailer would do well to consider Austin and Dallas, Texas. Other strong finishers include Atlanta, Boston, Denver, Miami, Nashville and Northern Virginia.
