Well Biotec Introduces Heat-Treated Nano Lactobacillus Extracted From Korean Kimchi

Lactobacillus can improve bowel health by sending it safely to the intestines

SEOUL, South Korea - August 20, 2018 - (Newswire.com)

Well Biotec, a consumer goods company, is introducing nF1, a heat-treated nano lactobacillus extracted from Korean Kimchi. The company has been supporting research for developing the heat-treated nano lactobacillus for 16 years. It’s been proven to improve self-immunity and intestinal health. The research findings have been published in numerous SCI-grade international journals.

nF1 was incubated with live cells and subjected to a nano-forming process in the heat treatment step. The particle diameter of the bacteria was adjusted to one micron or less. Through this process, the absorption rate is as high as 95 percent or more by preventing the coagulation phenomenon commonly found in conventional probiotics.

Because of this efficacy, nF1 is being used to promote the development of colorectal cancer drugs. New drug development through lactic acid bacteria has no side effects and is effective. The treatment can be transferred to each cell to penetrate parts of the cancer cells and can reduce or eliminate the cancer.

“This heat-treated nano lactobacillus extracted from Korean Kimchi has the potential to be a new concept food additive material. It can be sterilized and heat-resistant and applicable to various products comparable to existing probiotics,” says Minsu Heo, president of Well Biotec.

Founded in 1975, Well Biotec has grown based on its leather business. In 2018, the company transformed into a consumer goods company with a focus on bio, food and cosmetics. This new innovation of heat-treated nano lactobacillus is based on the know-how and technology of collagen separation obtained from the leather business. It was also developed at Well Biotec after the company acquired 28 percent of the shares of Biogenics Korea, a company specializing in the research and development of Kimchi lactic acid bacteria.
