CARE Inc. Increases Efforts to Enhance South Louisiana Communities

HAMMOND, La. - September 13, 2018 - (Newswire.com)

Home-care company CARE Inc. is now dedicating more time to increasing its community involvement by volunteering locally and enhancing career opportunities for the public, as well as for their own staff members.

In August, the company’s president, James Griffith, volunteered for the United Way of Southeast Louisiana to help renovate Greenville Park Leadership Academy, a local school in Hammond, Louisiana. He spent the day painting and proudly collaborating with other community volunteers to spruce up the hallways and classrooms in preparation for the new school year. According to Griffith, the public school is a long-time neighbor to CARE’s Hammond office, so renovating it was the perfect opportunity for their organization to give back to the kids of Tangipahoa.

This month, CARE employees are continuing to get involved and participating in several other local events. On Sept. 7, they set up shop at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library for the East Baton Rouge Job Fair. They extended invitations to surrounding communities in search of potential employees for their Denham Springs and Baton Rouge offices.

On Sept. 20, CARE will also host a booth at the Student Career Fair at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. From 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., their employees hope to educate students and Alumni about the mission of their trained caregivers and the job opportunities available for those interested.

Additionally, CARE plans to enhance their organization internally this month. They are holding Friday in-service training by Hospice for their Social Service Coordinators at their Hammond office.

CARE Inc. employees are proud to dedicate more time to caring for their local parishes and staff members, and they hope to continue increasing their community involvement for years to come.
