In Response to Kavanaugh, Up To $10 Million Has Been Pledged from High Net Worth Individuals to Promote Transparency on Behalf of Victims of Sexual Assault
SEATTLE - Oct. 2, 2018 - PRLog -- Survivors and Citizens for Justice (SCJ), an independent, non-profit, non-partisan organization, has received $10 million in pledges from high net worth individuals to enhance transparency and enforcement with regard to sexual assault and related crimes by public servants. SCJ is a nonprofit, non-partisan entity with the civic purpose of promoting the rule of law for sexual crimes.
The mission of SCJ is to investigate accused perpetrators of sexual assault, child molestation, sexual harassment, and other related crimes by prominent political figures, including court nominees, senators, congresspeople, and others. The group will begin immediately with an independent review of accusations against the recent nominee for the United States Supreme Court, including interviews with possible witnesses and victims.
SCJ believes that sexual crimes are under-reported, under-investigated, and under-prosecuted and that an organization to fully examine these issues is necessary for the progress of humanity and the future of American society.
The group will collect witness depositions, provide pro-bono counsel, coordinate private investigations, and support investigation by the free press. Its stated aim is to make sure that every alleged rapist, harasser, and child molester in public office is thoroughly investigated and removed if necessary.
