Fresh allegations of tampered hardware hit Super Micro

Shares of Super Micro Computer, Inc. closed down 15.5 percent on Tuesday after Bloomberg published a new report with fresh allegations that an unnamed major U.S. telecommunications company had discovered manipulated hardware from the San Jose-based chipmaker earlier this year.
