Neuroscience start-up launches coffee-enhancing supplement that offers healthier productivity

By: PRLog
A New York-based start-up, THINKNOO, has taken their love for coffee and their science smarts to create a naturally-inspired nootropic that fights the negative side-effects of coffee.
MANHATTAN, N.Y. - Oct. 24, 2018 - PRLog -- THINKNOO has been working with Australia's Queensland University of Technology to develop a healthier way to enjoy coffee and get more out of it. They spent the last two years tackling three coffee-related problems:
1) The anxious overstimulated jitters from too much caffeine;
2) The classic afternoon energy slump a few hours post caffeine fix;
3) The negative effect caffeine has on your sleep patterns.

How it works:
Using a blend of plant extracts and natural compounds they have scientifically developed two products; the world's first day and night approach to healthier coffee consumption:

NOOstart is taken alongside your morning coffee to offer a more balanced mental energy throughout the day, rather than the typical morning peak ("jitters") and afternoon slump ("crash").

NOOreset is taken in the evening to prepare your body for sleep by helping process caffeine faster while replenishing the nutrients absorbed from a productive day.

Both have six core elements, all of which are formulated to work against the above. One of NOOstart's six scientifically tested ingredients, L-Theanine, has been shown to more than double scores on an attention-based task in clinical testing when combined with caffeine.

And, best of all, you don't have to ruin the flavor of your favorite blend; our capsules can be taken with any coffee, anywhere.

Why?
According to Gallup (2015), one-quarter of the population is addicted to coffee, with 143m people drinking more than one cup per day. To most, this isn't a problem, but only because they don't know that caffeine takes 20-24 hours to completely flush from their system – meaning 143m of us are 'caffeinated sleepers'.

The Australian Sleep Health Foundation cautions that heavy caffeine consumption impacts our sleep, which is a well-known contributor to a myriad of health issues, including stress and anxiety.

These health issues aren't just costing us personally, they are costing the economy…big time. Forbes recently reported in 2016 that bad sleep costs the US $411bn and 1.2 million workdays each year because of reduced productivity and efficiency.

They are, also, negotiating with Queensland University of Technology's eSports Lab to undertake a study to test the effectiveness of nutritionally enhanced coffee on players in-game performance. QUT's state of the art eSports Lab is one of the first eSports research facilities in Australia. The lab is run by Michael Trotter and Dylan Poulus, both QUT researchers with an ambition to progress the eSports industry.
