The series idea came about during a brainstorming session in a mutual group the women are members of; the authors wanted to create a Christmas anthology with a naughty theme that did something nice for others. The ten authors decided to give back this holiday season by donating all the profits from the sales of the anthology to Adult Literacy.
The anthology authors believe adult literacy makes a remarkable difference in changing the future for men, women, and their families, and seek to positively impact literacy throughout the world.
Adult literacy impacts more than just adults; children born into families with illiterate parents have a 72% chance of being in the lowest reading levels, many drop out of high school, with poverty and unemployment levels are at consistent record highs.
The ten authors are all self-published, bestselling authors writing steamy contemporary romance fiction. Further, several authors involved in the series have a connection to adult literacy charities. The charity they’ve chosen, Pro Literacy, is a well-established nonprofit serving worldwide with the aim to solve socio economic problems—world health, gender equality, poverty relief and more through literacy.
