Brooklyn, NY – Internationally acclaimed Balmir Dance Society is pleased to announce that its 2nd Annual Gala Winter Wonderland Spectacular will be held in Brooklyn from Saturday, December 15th at 8 pm, until Sunday, December 16th at 2 am. Featuring dance performances, Latin / Puerto Rican cuisine, an open bar and, of course, all night dancing, early bird tickets are now on sale at discounted prices.
As an important fundraising event for the studio, owner Jessica J. Silva is hoping to get plenty of sponsors on board:
“We firmly believe that we make a huge difference to the lives of people in our community. But in order to raise the necessary funds, we need all the help we can get. It’s going to be a wonderful evening with some of NYC’s top professional Latin and diverse background dancers, and we’re looking forward to everyone’s love and support!”
Silva became the owner of Balmir Dance School just over two months ago, taking over from Eric Balmir who had been owner and director since 2011 and who was responsible for building the name of the brand.
“As a new owner, I am continuing his vision and trying to go beyond,” Silva explains. “The school has so much potential and I am hosting the gala to help raise money for renovations and to be able to implement a new system and new classes to bring the school to an even higher level of excellence from which our communities can benefit.
“The school has one of the top ratings in Brooklyn for Latin Dance and we want to offer other styles of dance in a neighborhood that can benefit from the wonderful gift of dance!”

Originally Founded in 2011 by director Eric Balmir as Balmir Latin Dance Studio and located in Brooklyn NY, Balmir Dance Society is home to a great many ever-evolving artists, many of whom have become world dance champions. Currently owned by Jessica Janette Silva, former and current Balmir Dance Society performing artist, choreographer, and instructor, the school offers a wide variety of classes and caters to beginning and advanced students, including both children and adults.
