Suicide Survivor Calls For The Wisdom of the Crowd…!

CALGARY, AB / ACCESSWIRE / November 15, 2018 / We are hearing about murder/suicides more and more frequently. So suicide is taking more than one life at a time now! One life lost to suicide is too many; and these mass shootings/suicides have to stop! Who's with me?

There are no superficial laws such as gun control, or denouncing video games, that can combat this epidemic of lives being lost to suicide victims. The only way to conquer this wave of disaster is to go to the root of the problem: Mental Health. Please join me in reaching out in true concern and caring to intervene in the lives of those at risk of suicide.

These people need help! This is not a witch-hunt. This is an outreach for intervention. An outreach of understanding and sincere concern. If you feel safe to do so, talk to someone you think may be at risk for suicide; because most suicide victims will take only their own lives. Not every depressed person is a potential murder/suicide victim.

To get to the root of the problem we have to be aware of the signs and be willing to take action

Are there bullies on the job site; on the manufacturing floor; in the warehouse; in the office; or in the boardroom? It can be anybody. We need to reach out in compassion; not accusation. We need to be understanding and not condescending. We need to offer kind concern and solutions such as counselling, appropriate literature, and awareness. Family, Friends, & Neighbors are usually the last to know because we don't pay attention!

We fall into ''it doesn't happen to us.'' We are all busy living our lives and responding to the never ending (legitimate or otherwise) demands put upon us by typical daily life. However, I'm not going to be quiet any longer! You will hear from me again and again and every month (if I can afford to do so) to keep this awareness alive. We need to pay attention and reach out when we know we must. And we all know when our gut is telling us that intervention is necessary.
