Benioff donates $6.1 million to secure a Tenderloin hotel to house formerly homeless

Salesforce co-CEO Marc Benioff cut a $6.1 million check to the city, enabling Mayor Breed and the Tenderloin Housing Clinic to offer permanent, independent-living units to 58 former homeless residents beginning February, Benioff and Breed announced Thursday.
