NEW YORK - Jan. 17, 2019 - PRLog -- The Patient-Driven Groupings Model (PDGM) was created by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and is set to launch on January 1, 2020. Once implemented, PDGM will revolutionize billing procedures for Medicare home health agencies nationwide. PDGM will change nearly every aspect of clinical and operational processes; in order to survive the upcoming revision, reformative action must be taken by agencies as early as possible.

Starting January 2019, The National Association for Homecare & Hospice (NAHC) is hosting a series of one-day intensive educational PDGM National Summits in strategic locations across the United States. Among other industry professionals, NAHC has asked four QIRT (Quality In Real Time) experts: Laura Page-Greifinger, BSN, MBA (President/CEO), Allison Cannon (Chief Administrative Officer), Phil Keating, MSPT (Chief Quality Officer), and Shelley Eggleton, MBA, BS, RN (Director of Clinical Consulting), to appear as panelists for several of the national summits. The QIRT team will be traveling to nationwide to speak to the clinical aspects of coding and OASIS review and OASIS competency. Discussion will also incorporate operational aspects of intake and referral, billing every 30 days, and explanations of what agencies need to put in place internally and with their electronic medical systems.

QIRT's Laura Page-Greifinger highlighted the importance of preparing for this new payment model: "The Patient-Driven Groupings Model is going to bring radical changes to the entire industry. Organizational reform must take place now and QIRT is proud to take part in supporting post-acute agencies through this change. Allison, Phil, Shelley, and I are excited to demonstrate our knowledge of preparation and to illustrate the operations agencies must undertake along the journey to be ready for the upcoming changes in 2020. For QIRT, quality is not simply the word for coding: it is our guiding principle for complete agency solutions. It is important to me that agencies realize this, to the benefit of the industry. Our staff's quality is the best in the industry. Now, our team will be heading across the country to illustrate the crucial role accurate coding and OASIS will play in the new payment models across the entire post-acute industry."

Agencies must act now to prepare for the changes that The Patient-Driven Groupings Model will enforce in 2020. The 2019 PDGM National Summits will feature expert speakers who deliver valuable information for all Medicare Agencies across the United States. QIRT team members will be in Kansas City, MO, Denver, CO, Portland, OR, Valley Forge, PA, Chicago, IL, and Boston, MA. ABOUT QIRT

In 2006, QIRT was founded by President/CEO Laura Page-Greifinger, BSN, MPA who worked within the post-acute provider space for over 30 years as a nurse, supervisor, and clinical consultant. QIRT's initial service was providing multiple types of quality assurance reviews and coding. QIRT has since expanded services to the entire post-acute space including assessment review, hospice coding and eligibility reviews, QAPI audits, and ADR response.

All care providers have workflow processes or operations that create a patient journey from initial referral through reimbursement. The workflow requires quality assurance, education, compliance, and operational strategy within each step of a comprehensive and cyclical process, what QIRT calls: Quality Cycle Management (QCM). QIRT has acquired four post-acute service companies and formed five specialized divisions designed to support post-acute agencies throughout the quality management cycle.

QIRT's employees undergo vigorous vetting prior to hire and continued oversight and monitoring monthly to maintain top-notch compliance. The company works 24/7/365 days a year.

In 2017, QIRT was named to the 2017 Inc. 500/5000 List of Fastest Growing Companies for the fifth consecutive year. As a leader in the post-acute support industry, QIRT earned the position of 1486, showing a three-year growth of 273%. Inc. magazine reports that companies making this list have, on average, grown six-fold since 2013 in the face of an economy that grew just 6.7 percent during that time. Of the thousands of companies who have applied for this distinction, only 7% have made the list five times, placing QIRT on the Inc. 5000 Honor Roll.
