Advertisement of the event “Spring Festival in Xi’an, Most Cultural and Traditional” presented on Nasdaq screen on Chinese New Year’s day and Ctrip brought Xi’an onto the world stage

On February 5th, 2019 (American Eastern Standard Time), the first day of the year of the pig, the Advertisement of event “Enjoy Chinese New Year in Xi’an” sponsored by the Xi’an Culture and Tourism Bureau and organized by Ctrip Group suddenly appeared on the Nasdaq screen of New York’s Times Square. The series of activity “Enjoy Chinese New Year in Xi’an” organized by Ctrip Group was the most important part in the “Spring Festival in Xi’an; Most Cultural and Traditional” event. The huge advertisement of the “Enjoy Chinese New Year in Xi’an” event landing on the Nasdaq also further explained that Xi’an inbound tourism market has great potential. With the advent of mass tourism, China’s outbound tourism market has maintained a high growth momentum, which helps Chinese people better understand the world. However, Wang Wei, the CEO of Ctrip Group’s Government Resource Cooperation Department, said that destinations should also step up efforts to develop inbound tourism and attract more foreign tourists to learn about contemporary China through tourism. It is worth mentioning that Ctrip is making a new attempt to help domestic destinations gain more exposure overseas.
