A's get behind power players for Howard Terminal ballpark as opposition rallies

Two bills in the state Legislature would make it easier for the Oakland Athletics to build a 34,000-seat ballpark at Howard Terminal, north of Jack London Square. But a group of maritime unions says there would be more community benefits and less disruption to their work if the team stays in East Oakland.
