Bruton Smith-led company wants to take Speedway Motorsports Inc. private in $735M deal

Sonic Financial Corp., owned by Bruton Smith and his family, is trying to take Concord-based Speedway Motorsports Inc. private in a $735 million offer that would consolidate the Smith family’s holdings in the company. Bruton Smith is founder of Speedway Motorsports.
