New 170-room hotel poised to replace S.F.’s historic Hearst office building

Hearst Corp. and developer JMA Ventures plan to transform the office space at 5 Third St. into a 170-unit hotel with a new rooftop bar, event and spaces, all while preserving the historic lobby design.
