Three homes planned for Obama friends' oceanfront Hawaii estate

Permits totaling $5.08 million were issued last week by the City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Planning and Permitting for the land owned by Waimanalo Paradise LLC, a three-acre estate about 10 miles from the Kailua neighborhood where the Obama family and their close friends stayed every Christmas holiday during Obama’s two terms in the White House.
