Tylock-George Eye Care is now providing eye care services from their second location in McKinney, Texas. The team at Tylock-George is excited to have opened the doors on this new chapter for the company, making affordable vision correction accessible to more patients in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area.
“Our goal has always been to expand access to high-quality LASIK and cataract surgery to more and more people in the region,” said Michael R. George, M.D., Head Surgeon at Tylock-George. “We think this new location is a crucial first step, and we’re glad that we can offer closer, more convenient appointments to patients from McKinney and the northern Dallas suburbs.”
With Dr. George on-site part-time, Mark Hayes, O.D., is the main doctor in the new location, offering screenings, LASIK and cataract evaluations, and appointments for pre and post-operative patients. Dr. George and Dr. Hayes are joined by new location manager Lauren Scallen, who has worked for 12 years in health care management. Her past experience includes running a Breast Cancer Center and a Diagnostic Imaging Center, as well as working with around 400,000 patients in her career so far.

Because of the ongoing risks posed by COVID-19, the McKinney location is taking significant health and safety precautions, including new appointment spacing, temperature checks for everyone who enters, mask and PPE requirements, and a rigorous cleaning schedule. The practice is also increasing hours of operation to see the same number of patients in a way that allows for safe distancing in the office.
