Rushtons Chartered Accountants has published a factsheet that covers all the essential details regarding the 2nd SEISS (Self-Employment Income Support Scheme) Grant available in the UK. They have done this in order to assist with small business owners, freelancers, and other self-employed people who may be wondering about what financial assistant is available to help them cope with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The first SEISS grant was organized in the UK to help freelancers, small business owners, and self-employed workers recoup some of the costs their businesses had suffered as a result of the financial impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. The first grant, the applications for which closed on the 13th July 2020, offered a single installment grant that paid 80% of their average monthly trading profits, paying three months’ work.

The latest factsheet published by Rushtons Chartered Accountants shows that the second grant and final grant offers much the same help to those whose income has been affected by the coronavirus. However, there are some differences that the factsheet makes clear. For instance, this time the grant covers 70% of the average monthly trading profits instead of 80%, with a lower cap of £6,570. The second grant is available to anyone who meets the eligibility criteria covered in the factsheet. In order to receive the second grant, the individual does not have to have received or applied for the first grant.

Rushtons Chartered Accountants has published the Self-Employment Income Support Factsheet that overlooks the eligibility criteria, the conditions of the First Grant, and the conditions of the Second and Final Grant, to assist those whose finances are likely to be affected by the coronavirus pandemic. They have published other factsheets that may be applicable to reads for much the same reasons, such as their Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme Factsheet. Their website’s blog contains a range of factsheets aiming to clarify some of the schemes available from the UK government and elsewhere.
