eFoodSafety Launches Cinnechol(TM), an All-Natural Alternative to Conventional Cholesterol Drugs

eFoodSafety.com (OTCBB: EFSF, www.efoodsafety.com), a researcher, developer, and marketer of whole food nutraceutical products, has launched an all-natural supplement, called Cinnechol (www.cinnechol.com), that offers a complementary and/or alternative solution to traditional cholesterol drugs. Cinnechol is designed to reduce total cholesterol levels, LDL (bad) cholesterol, and triglycerides without adverse side effects while enhancing overall cardiovascular health. The product has also been shown to improve levels of HDL (good) cholesterol.

On Sunday, March 30, 2008, the New England Journal of Medicine published results that the prescription cholesterol drug Vytorin, has illustrated no benefit for reducing the accumulation of fatty plaque in the arteries. Millions of Americans have taken the drug, or one of its components, Zetia, since its introduction to the market in 2004, racking up $5 billion in sales despite limited proof of results. News of the drugs failure has caused a stir in the medical community and left consumers confused and angered about the effectiveness and safety of prescription blockbuster drugs.

A study* conducted by the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) and the Center for Disease Controls National Center for Health Statistics shows that approximately 36% of U.S. adults ages eighteen and older use some form of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), with 18.9% of those using various natural products. (The study defines CAM as a group of diverse medical and health care systems, therapies, and products that are not presently considered conventional medicine.)

eFoodSafety recently announced that it has launched national direct-response commercials to introduce Cinnechol to a broad audience with potential viewership in the millions. The Company is cautiously optimistic that the campaign will significantly increase market exposure, brand recognition, and revenue.

We are delighted to introduce Cinnechol to consumers and help educate them about the benefits of our natural solution to high levels of LDL cholesterol, says Patricia Gruden, CEO of eFoodSafety. It appears that Americans are becoming savvier about and more receptive toward choosing all-natural treatment options for common health conditions. We believe that our whole food products such as Cinnechol provide tremendous value by increasing the scope of options available to them.
