German steelmaker ThyssenKrupp AG denied rumors that the company was in discussions to acquire AK Steel (NYSE: AKS) .In the broad market, advancing issues were on par with decliners on both the NYSE and on Nasdaq. The Russell 2000 which tracks small cap stocks added 2 points to 716.
