The SAS70 Type II (Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70: Service Organizations) is a component of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act that governs data center operations and internal controls. While originally intended for the financial services industry, the SAS70 has become the gold standard for any firm in evaluating outsourced data center solutions.
