Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ:WINN), announced the addition of Mary Kellmanson to lead its marketing department.
Mary Kellmanson has filled the position of Vice President of Marketing. In this position, she will work to oversee the day-to-day and strategic operations of the Company’s marketing, advertising, and communications efforts. She reports directly to Chief Merchandising and Marketing Officer Dan Portnoy.
Prior to joining Winn-Dixie, Kellmanson developed an extensive background in the industry at Wegmans Food Markets, where she spent almost 15 years, most recently as Vice President of Advertising and Marketing. While there, Mary was responsible for branding, new store openings, market research, loyalty card and on-line and co-op programs. She was also the architect of moving and repositioning the brand toward lifestyle solutions that integrated initiatives involving media, messaging, staff training and store product mix.
“Mary’s strong marketing background will serve our Company well as we continue focusing our efforts on providing a fresh and local shopping experience to our customers every day,” said Portnoy. “Her passion for the retail industry, coupled with her energy and leadership will drive us to delivering our promise of getting better all the time.”
Dave Henry, who has served as Winn-Dixie’s senior vice president of marketing since 2001, will be retiring.
“As a member of our senior management team, Dave has made numerous valuable contributions that will be remembered long after he leaves,” said Portnoy. “The support and leadership he provided our Company was invaluable and will be missed.”
