The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center (MLSC) is the hub for the state’s thriving life sciences community, which includes biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics and bioinformatics. The Center is the steward of the state’s $1 billion investment to ensure that the life sciences continue to be a major economic engine for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Center’s goals are to create jobs, drive innovation and promote good science.
The MLSC brings together industry, academic research hospitals and public and private colleges and universities to spur new research, strengthen investments, create new jobs and produce new therapies for a better quality of life through targeted funding programs. Current funding programs include: the Life Sciences Accelerator Program, the Life Sciences Tax Incentive Program, the Matching Grant Program, and the Corporate Consortium Program. For more information on MLSC programs visit: http://www.masslifescience.com.
To date, the MLSC has made $30 million in public investments in the life sciences, leveraged more than twice that amount in private investment, and created hundreds of jobs across the state.
