Sun manages to avoid becoming another Yahoo

Sun Microsystems Inc. has cleverly avoided becoming the next Yahoo Inc., a company that blew a serious acquisition offer by an archrival. By managing to find Oracle as a willing buyer of its troubled business after talks with IBM Corp. fell apart, Sun executives and its board will be spared some shareholder wrath that was sure to ensue if the company was left standing alone.
