Hefty award to RIAA could damage industry

The RIAA likely is whooping it up over a stunning victory, in which a Minnesota woman was fined $1.92 million for file-sharing 24 songs on the Internet. But the excessive jury award could become problematic for the recording industry. Let's hope it will also shine light on the need for reforms in the area of copyright law.
