LeVie is the author of Confessions of a Hiring Manager Rev. 2.0: Getting to and Staying at the Top of the Hiring Manager's Short List in a Confused Economy (Second Edition) and 50 Things You Can Do NOW to Help Keep Your Job (Second Edition). Confessions Rev. 2.0 was just named the Winner of the 2012 International Book Award for Business/Careers and is a Finalist for the 2012 Global eBook Award in the Business/Employment category.
As a former hiring manager for such Fortune 500 companies as Phillips Petroleum, Motorola, and Intel Corporation, LeVie has reviewed over a thousand résumés and cover letters and conducted hundreds of job interviews. In addition, he has helped hire countless numbers of professionals for technical, marketing, and communications positions over his 25-year career that includes positions with the U.S. Department of Commerce-NOAA and the University of Houston system in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics as an adjunct faculty lecturer.
LeVie will be offering two presentations for the ACFE Career Connection in the Exhibit Hall area: "Creating and Promoting Your Professional Brand" and "Negotiating a Salary Without Leaving Money on the Table." In addition, he will be participating in a panel discussion on hiring practices and career strategies as well as offering a 90-minute presentation entitled "Positioning for the Future: Creating and Promoting Your Professional Brand in an Evolving Job Market" for the Professional Development stem. As part of his involvement with the ACFE Career Connection, LeVie provides individual career consultations as well as cover letter and résumé evaluations during the conference. He has been a popular presenter and speaker for ACFE conferences for several years.
As part of the Member Benefit program offered by ENCYNIUM where LeVie is principal, he provides responses to career-related questions from ACFE members on the "Ask the Expert" page at the ACFE website, and writes articles for the "Career Connection" column in Fraud Magazine.
