Connect magazine, a 2011 Azbee Gold Award recipient, earned a regional nomination for its special section, "The Green Issue." Last year, Connect was named among the top 10 business-to-business publications in the country by ASBPE. Rejuvenate magazine is a regional finalist this year for "The Ripple Effect," its December 2011 front cover design.
The three Collinson Media publications are no strangers to the Azbee awards. In 2010, Connect received the Gold Award, New Publication for Editorial Excellence from ASBPE. In 2011, Rejuvenate received a Silver Award in the contributed column category, along with the Gold Award for Editorial Excellence in the how-to category.
ASBPE is an association of professional editors and writers who work for business-to-business magazines, newsletters, blogs, websites and other digital publications. The Azbee Awards competition is extremely competitive, and is one of the largest U.S. business publication competitions. Its judges include experienced business editors, designers, consultants and academicians.
"This recognition is especially appreciated in today's challenging economy in which so many print publications are struggling," said Collinson Media's Editor-in-Chief Christine Born. "The continued importance of niche market magazines, in print and online, reinforces the fact that users want content targeted to their specific markets, challenging them by introducing ideas and strategies outside the current norm."
