Sovereign Grace Ministries, a global family of 70 churches with connections to church-planting ministries in 21 countries, recently announced their four-day Transfer Conference, coming up May 25-28 in Orlando, Florida. The focus of this conference is to proclaim the essential biblical truths and core values that each generation of believers passes on to the next.
Guest speakers Kevin DeYoung and Sinclair Ferguson are on the schedule to speak at the conference in addition to C.J. Mahaney, Ian McConnell, Bob Kauflin, Jared Mellinger, and Jeff Purswell. Each session will address one of the values collectively treasured by Christians throughout history and across the globe: God's glory, God's gospel, God's word, God's presence, God's people, God's design, and God's mission.
The goal of Transfer extends beyond the sessions themselves, however. "Simply knowing core values and discussing them at conferences is not enough to ensure their transfer from generation to generation," said Ian McConnell, the conference leader. "The Transfer conference is geared toward equipping people with these values and inspiring them to live them out daily."
Registration runs from February 1 to May 14, with the lowest rates for registrants who sign up before March 31. Families of four or more receive a 15% discount at registration. Those interested can register or view additional information at the official website for Transfer. A detailed schedule of events is forthcoming.
