Computer Programs and Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CPSI), a leading provider of healthcare information solutions, today announced that it has successfully tested portions of the Healthcare Information Technology Standards Panel (HITSP) federally recognized Interoperability Specifications with the CPSI System at the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise 2009 Connectathon. The CPSI System is a fully integrated healthcare information system designed to provide community and specialty hospitals with a complete electronic medical record (EMR). The Showcase is part of the 2009 Annual Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference & Exhibition from April 4-8, 2009. Designed as a HIMSS Health Information Exchange (HIE)-based environment, the Showcase includes clinical scenarios enabled by the standards-based HIE framework and HITSP federally recognized Interoperability Specifications.
In addition to its active participation in the Interoperability Showcase, CPSI will also be available at HIMSS09 booth #1008 in the South Hall to answer questions and provide demonstrations of the CPSI System.
