Shares of Brocade Communications (BRCD) are up 35 cents, over 6%, at $5.85 in late trading after the company reported fiscal Q1 revenue and earnings per share ahead of consensus.

Revenue in the three months ended in January rose 3%, year over year, to $561 million, yielding EPS of 20 cents a share.

CEO Michael Klayko called the quarter “a great quarter,” adding that the company achieved “record revenue, expanding gross margins, and increasing profits as we continued to see strong momentum across many areas of our business.”
