Dr. Amanda Itzkoff Has Been Recognized Among the Top in Her Industry by the Expert Network©

She graduated from Cornell University as co-valedictorian of her class. She earned her medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine and completed a residency in psychiatry training at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

With 12 years dedicated to medicine, Itzkoff brings a wealth of knowledge to her industry and, in particular, to her area of expertise in psychiatry. When asked why she​ excels in her field, Itzkoff said:

As a leader in her industry, she has won numerous awards, including the Adele Zinberg Award for Women’s Leadership in Psychiatry, for her pioneering work with patients suffering from a wide variety of psychiatric disorders. She has expressed a particular interest in developing further treatments focusing on the mental health of recent mothers. She noted:

"One trend I’m seeing is a greater need for is psychiatrists who are well trained in, and understand, women’s mental health. This includes having an understanding of postpartum depression and the infertility treatment process. We are seeing many, many more women needing support in those areas."

Itzkoff is currently the Medical Director of her private practice, Bespoke Manhattan Psychiatry, and an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. In the next five years, Dr. Itzkoff hopes to open a psychiatric office that focuses specifically on issues related to women's reproductive health. She continues to teach as an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and was recently added to the list of Super Doctors’ Rising Stars.
