Barclays appoints JPMorgan's Paul Compton as new COO

LONDON, Feb 9 (Reuters) - Britain's Barclays Plc has named JPmorgan Chase & Co executive Paul Compton its new Chief Operating Officer, following the departure of Jonathan Moulds.
