Fastenal Co (NASDAQ: FAST ) reported a 9.2% rise in its third-quarter earnings. Fastenal's quarterly profit surged to $119.4 million, or $0.40 per share, from $109.3 million, or $0.37 per share, in the year-ago period. Its sales climbed 7% to $858.4 million.
