Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Tammy Baker as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

Tammy Baker will be featured in an upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2016/2017.

Beginning her career in 1984 as a Receptionist for Kansas Instruments, Tammy Baker was fortunate to earn a promotion to work in the company's parts department. Spending four years learning all the complexities of the department, she eventually landed a position with Joe Baker Equipment Sales Inc. in 1993 in their home office working part-time. Seven years later and Baker is now the organization's Office Manager of Sales and Parts. Overseeing daily operations, to include manages billing and receivables, meeting with customers in the field, handling the website and marketing side of the business, and providing both machine and parts sales, her role is well versed.

"I pay close attention to providing excellent customer service, which I feel plays a huge part in the company's ability to continuously thrive," Baker said, noting that it's her responsibility to see that all of the customer's automotive engine rebuilding equipment needs are cared for efficiently. "I enjoy working with people, and the customers are so important in our line of work."
