AccuDoc, an urgent care clinic has 3 locations serving the Indiana and Ohio areas announced that their Harrison, Ohio urgent care facility can now dispense prescriptions for medical marijuana. Patients who have an existing marijuana card can go to this location to get medical marijuana for medicine.
Medical cannabis is a plant-based medicine with three active components: THC, CBD, and CBN. These substances are called cannabinoids, which has been used to treat some diseases.
Benefits can be obtained from the use of medical cannabis for patients with chronic illness treatment requirements such as AIDS / HIV, multiple sclerosis (MS), cancers, depression, and PTSD among others.
Inflammation, pain, seizures, glaucoma, nausea, inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), and migraines are also some of the illnesses that medical cannabis is used for treatment.
CBD or cannabidiol is one of the components in marijuana that is not psychoactive, meaning it will not give the “high” feeling. CBD is known to be responsible for the majority of the medical benefits.
THC or tetrahydrocannabinol is the psychoactive compound in marijuana. It is responsible for the “high” people mention they can feel. Cannabinol (CBN) is another compound found but rarely exceeds 1% in dried flower; it is a mildly psychoactive compound. CBN doesn’t come directly from the marijuana plant but oxidized THC.
Depending on the medical requirement of the patient, AccuDoc will dispense marijuana prescription using proper ratios for each of these 3 components. Medical marijuana can come in the form of oils, tinctures, edibles, capsules, vaping, and patches.
Patients of AccuDoc Urgent Care must be recommended for the use of medical marijuana and will be required to register with the state of Ohio for a medical marijuana card.
Ohio does not recognize any other medical state cards.
AccuDoc Harrison location address is 620 Ring Road, Suite B, Harrison, OH 45030. They can be reached at (513) 845-4558. The facility is open on weekdays from 9 AM until 8 PM and on weekends from 9 AM until 3 PM. They are closed on major holidays.
