Echelon Corporation Announces Stock Repurchase Program

Echelon Corporation (NASDAQ:ELON) announced today that its board of directors has authorized a new stock repurchase program that will expire on April 18, 2011. The program, which authorizes the repurchase of up to 3,000,000 shares of the Company's Common Stock, will be conducted in accordance with Rule 10b-18 and other applicable laws, rules and regulations. Echelon will select a single broker/dealer to assist Echelon in repurchases made by the Company in connection with the stock repurchase program.
